Chloe Ruth Johnson has never stopped taking notes. It started with a tiny pencil and spiral-bound notebook she kept as a child while growing up inside a Portland, Oregon based religious cult. She continued writing through coming of age in the music scene of the 80s and 90s Pacific Northwest, and into adulthood across three continents. She's been writing through it all.

Her debut novel, I Love You More Than Music, is fiction drawn from memory. Chloe is currently working on a second novel, Dance the Blues.

With co-host Michelle, she hosts The Cult Kids, a forthcoming podcast about growing up inside cults and the generation of hippie religious music that shaped them.
